Adding shortlists to Football Manager

How to add shortlists into your game?
So you download yourself a nice pack of shortlists, but you have no idea what to do?

  • Most of the shortlists you can find on the net are compressed, so the first thing you need to do is to extract them. You can use programs like WinRar, WinAce, WinZip, Power Archiver, and other programs. They will all work as most of the compressed files are *.zip or *.rar. My recommendation: WinRar

  • The place you have to extract these files is: “C:\Documents and Settings\[Your Name]\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\Shortlists”. Most probably this folder is already there, but if it isn’t, create it yourself.
  • After you’ve successfully extracted the pack, it is time to add the shortlists to the game. You must go to the Manager section, then Find Player -> Shortlist. When you are here, you must use the Shortlists button on the bottom right of the screen.
Be careful, as many, make a mistake here. You must not import Filters, you must Import Shortlists!

  • The next step is to select the shortlists you want to import. Simply double-click on the item, and the players will be imported immediately.
