Following the success of the cricket Indian Premier League, the owners of the teams have decided to try there hands at football. Uefa's financial fair play rules mean that any European sides can only pay small wages, so the riches of the IPL are the place to be. The Indian Premier League features 14 teams. Each team has a legendary coach and one Icon player (one of the top 14 players in the world, all have been levelled at 190 ca and 200 pa) who is the club captain.

The rest of the squad is made up of a draft, where the best players in the world in each position were shared between each club. Every club has 1 top class goalkeeper, 1 top class right back and so on. Whoever got the best right back got the least talented left back etc. Aside from defenders (one rb one lb two dc) every team has a solid defnsive midfielder, two central midfielders, a right winger, a left winger, and two forwards. The squads are completed using the same process again with the most exciting young (U23) players for each position. The squads also have a select group og the worlds most promising U19 players, as a part of there U21 team.

There are no player restrictions, and 4 subs from 9 may be used in any one game, teams play each other twice.
